Why did the customer contact us?
8' of water flooded basement level, unfinished, block and concrete. They have pumped it out and are stripping it of the contents. Water was up to rafters.
Solutions provided:
For this project, our team addressed significant water damage caused by 8 feet of flooding in an unfinished basement with block and concrete walls. The homeowner had already pumped out the water and begun removing contents, which allowed us to focus on mitigation and drying.
We started by assessing the structural integrity of the basement, including the block and concrete surfaces. Moisture detection tools were used to check for hidden water in the walls and floors. Our team used industrial dehumidifiers and air movers to thoroughly dry the space, preventing further damage and the growth of mold or mildew.
We also treated the affected areas with antimicrobial agents to ensure the basement remained clean and free from harmful bacteria. Once the space was dried and sanitized, it was left ready for reconstruction or further repairs as needed.
